Atlantic College was established in 1993 as a provider of English language courses recognised by the Department of Education and Science. Since then, the College has built an international reputation for being a supportive centre of learning, committed to providing accredited courses to the highest academic standards. In autumn 2009, Atlantic College extended its course programme to include a range of part-time day and evening courses in accountancy and finance, human resource management and training, psychology and childcare. All Atlantic College courses are accredited, through a partnership with Dorset College Dublin, by nationally and internationally recognised professional and examination bodies such as FETAC, CIPD and ACCA. Benchmarked qualifications provides employers with an objective validation of skills, knowledge and capabilities acquired and assures Atlantic College graduates of the quality of delivery and value of  the courses.

Deciding to take on a programme of part-time study is an important decision and the staff of Atlantic College support applicants while making this decision. The College hosts regular open information sessions where potential students can visit the College and discuss their specific training and educational needs with College staff and tutors and explore the different options open to them.

There is a regular Drop-In Information Session every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm during term. The day and time is subject to change and applicants are advised to contact the College before they visit to confirm the details or check the Atlantic College website, www.atlanticcollege.ie.
